Production and Material Planning & Scheduling Analyst

Roles and responsibilities

  • Prepare the monthly production schedule based on observance of internal production capacity
  • Monitor Scheduled Vs Performed data on a daily basis
  • Supply assembly lines with the necessary materials to avoid stoppages and perform adjustments where necessary, to ensure compliance with the monthly schedule
  • Order raw materials, packaging and supplementary materials in line with sales planning requirements
  • Apply changes to the material purchase schedule, and calculate quantity requirements, in order to adjust production volume accordingly
  • Improve stock control by tracking material balances
  • Monitor the release of materials with quality control, in order to accelerate the stock entry process
  • Ensure follow-ups are carried out with the Purchasing Department in relation to deliveries and the release of material used in production
  • Monitor material scheduling in order to oversee progress, through the following applications and platforms: MRP, ABC, Curve, inventory coverage, turnover reporting usage variation, production tracking
  • Ensure registration data is kept up-to-date by opening/maintaining codes in the material management system
  • Produce up-to-date daily reports for monitoring and Area Performance Indicators, Scheduled Vs Delivered Service Level Compliance, Planned Vs Delivered Billing and OTIF

Qualifications and requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Engineering.
  • Advanced English
  • 5 years’ experience in Planning & Production Control (PCP) and Material Planning
  • ERP system knowledge
  • Knowledge of improvement tools such as Kanban, Laizen and Lean
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
  • Dynamic and enthusiastic

  • Strong organisation skills
