Group Procurement Director (m/f/d)

LINDAL Group provides the technique inside and the design of aerosols as industries world market leader. Established in 1959 and never ceasing to innovate, LINDAL has become one of the global market leaders in aerosol technology. Our products range from clean-room produced asthma inhalers to silicone dispensing systems and premium deodorant actuators. Based in Europe we serve our customers all over the world also from our plants in the USA, Mexico, Brazil and Argentina.

Role and responsibilities

• Develop Group Procurement Strategy, implement plans and rolling updates;
• Lead and manage global category team;
• Synchronize with the strategies of Global Product Lines in Manufacturing and Global Research and Development;
• Be key interface between corporate and local functions in Europe, Latin America, and North America;
• Drive key supplier innovation and development processes;
• Conduct market research and develop global sourcing potentials;
• Initiate and realize cost reduction activities on a regular basis;
• Negotiate frame contracts and ensure that quality assurance agreements are part of contracts;
• Drive operational and strategic supplier management and develop best fit supplier portfolio;
• Ensure implementation and continuously Improvement of IT purchasing tools;
• Conduct Make-or-Buy analysis;
• Lead budgeting and follow up of material costs;
• Conduct synergy projects in collaboration with the regions Europe, Latin America, and North America

Qualifications and requirements

• A graduate technical or commercial degree (BA, MA), ideally with international focus;
• Minimum 5 years of leading experience in strategic procurement of a multinational manufacturing company;
• Solid market expertise in the required segment (ideally plastics and injection molding);
• Experience in working with strategic procurement IT systems (ideally SAP and SRM);
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to convince and influence;
• Strong ability to moderate conflicting interests;
• Teambuilding competence and empathy;
• Resilience and target orientation;
• Willingness to travel;
• Fluent in English and German, both written and spoken (any additional language seen as an advantage);
• Good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
