Draftsman / New Product Developer

Our products range from clean-room produced asthma inhalers to silicone dispensing systems and premium deodorant actuators. Based in Europe we serve our customers all over the world also from our plants in the USA, Mexico, Brazil and Argentina.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Work with the R&D Centre departments, manufacturing sites in the area (onsite Laboratory and R&D satellites) and business units to ensure effective management of all projects, from industrialisation to commercialisation, maximising value to the business
  • Interact and communicate effectively with other departments to maintain a coherent and consistent approach to all projects
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest technologies from suppliers, customers and competitors to provide cost-saving and innovation opportunities
  • Suggest and draw new valve and actuator designs
  • Organise the search for new technologies based on budget and technical objectives for new projects
  • Work in a project team utilising the project kit and adopting existing processes
  • Manage the training of personnel joining the R&D Centre
  • Qualify new products according to the specifications and relevant aerosol legislation
  • Manage the customer and technical drawings recorded in the database

Qualifications and requirements

  • Educated to degree level in Mechanical Engineering, although strong practical experience supported by relevant qualifications is seen as an equivalent
  • Natural tendency to be creative and innovative. Eager to find new ways to do things or bring new skills related to the aerosol industry, to solve problems and find solutions
  • Well-developed team work skills
  • An ability to react and respond effectively
  • Good organisational abilities, as well as excellent written and oral communication skills
  • A positive and proactive approach and attitude
  • Experience of working successfully in an international culture
