LINDAL Group names Phil Lever as global sales director
LINDAL Group, a worldwide leader in the development and manufacture of valves, actuators and spray caps for aerosol products, has appointed Phil Lever to the position of Global Sales Director, the company announced today.
In this role, Lever will lead worldwide initiatives to develop and grow sales opportunities for Lindal’s products in all applications, including cosmetics, household, pharmaceuticals, food industry and the technical industry.
He will report directly to Francois-Xavier Gilbert, the Group CEO, and will be based in the UK.
“Phil’s extensive international sales experience, analytical skills and proven abilities in developing sales strategy, identifying new market segments and opportunities, spotting industry trends and leading teams to deliver on sales targets will help take our organization to new heights,” Gilbert said. “His extensive global business experience and strong track record in working with large multinational key accounts will serve us well as we continue to develop opportunities in both established and emerging markets throughout the world. Phil also has a strong understanding of valve technology and new product innovation, which has enabled him to quickly get up to speed with the company’s products and technologies.”
Most recently, Lever was Commercial Director of Cambridge Consultants, a product design and development engineering consultancy, which develops breakthrough products, creates and licenses intellectual property, and provides business consultancy in technology-critical issues for clients worldwide, ranging from leading blue chips to ambitious start-ups.
Previously, Lever was Director of Strategic Planning and Marketing for Consort Medical plc, the innovation-oriented developer of drug delivery technologies, where he was responsible for meeting profitable business growth targets, organically and through mergers and acquisitions. Prior to this, he was Commercial Director for the company’s Bespak division, the market leader in aerosol valve-based drug delivery devices for inhaled drug products. In this capacity, Lever headed the business unit strategy, key customer relationship management activities and was responsible for successfully delivering on sales, marketing and business development growth goals.
Lever’s earlier career was with the UK conglomerate ICI, initially as a senior research scientist introducing new products to market, before moving into sales, marketing and business development roles. His time with ICI included a one-year assignment to ICI North America, in Wilmington, DE, where he was active in managing the company’s portfolio of technical imaging products.
Lever earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Birmingham.
A native of the UK, he resides with his family in the North Bedfordshire countryside. Lever is an avid sports enthusiast and regularly plays tennis and soccer (football).
