The LINDAL Group’s TRUSPRAY® technology — now available throughout the Americas — is the first aerosol solution designed to handle the highly viscous formulas used in popular personal care and household product categories, and cut propellant and solvent use by as much as 50 percent, according to Robert F. Brands, the company’s President – Americas.

The eco-friendly, patented, TRUSPRAY technology offers improved spray quality, with low flow rates.  Its reduced need for propellant and solvent allows for compact packaging that saves on materials and transportation cost, and enhances easy, on-the-go consumer use.  

As a result, LINDAL Group’s TRUSPRAY technology represents a new sustainable option for makers of viscous gels, waxes, concentrates, deodorants and more.

TRUSPRAY: HOW IT WORKS

LINDAL Group’s TRUSPRAY technological breakthrough is based upon the principle of capillary atomization, a highly efficient, four-phase, method of aerosol formation.

The process requires no flow-inhibiting swirl chambers or atomizer jets.  The energy generated with each actuation is fully-utilized, for more complete aerosol formation that requires less propellant.

With TRUSPRAY, a standard valve is paired with a capillary tube.  Upon actuation, product rises up the capillary wall, with only minimal use of propellant.  Tiny droplets are “torn” from the formulation by the flowing propellant and travel – as aerosol – through the spray head’s bent capillary tube and out, as an even, deep, mist.  With flow rates as high as 1g/10 sec., even hard-to-atomize bulk can be efficiently dispensed.

 

MARKETPLACE ADVANTAGES OF TRUSPRAY

The efficiency of the TRUSPRAY technology permits a wide range of highly viscous products to be offered in aerosol form, with reduced propellant and solvent use and more compact overall package dimensions.

As a result, product development opportunities are opened in a wide range of product subcategories, including cosmetics and body care; sun protection; hair care and styling; household products and technical products.
