LINDAL Group: New actuators for Nivea shaving gel.

The LINDAL Group has developed together with Beiersdorf AG a new actuator for the Nivea shaving gel and is one of the main suppliers for this product.
With its head office situated in the German town of Bad Oldesloe, north of Hamburg, LINDAL Group has developed and manufactured valves, actuators and spraycaps for all types of aerosol products since 1959. Annual valve production is approximately 1,3 billion and LINDAL is one of the market leaders in this area.
Together with Beiersdorf AG in Hamburg, LINDAL Group has developed a new actuator for the Nivea shaving gel, a product which has been positioned in the market for some years already.
Characteristics of the gel actuator are the striking design and the use of a two-component system for the finger-pad area of the actuator which is formed using an elastomer material which gives a "soft-touch" effect.
LINDAL is one of the main suppliers for the Nivea shaving gel product. Beside the new gel actuator LINDAL also supplies the bag-on-valve system, which consists of the aerosol valve with welded bag. With the bag-on-valve system the compressed air in the aerosol can is on the outside of the bag and acts as a propellant on the product which is inside the bag. The advantage of the system is that it enables the separation of product and propellant which is a standard requirement for gel products. |
